About the speakers
David Ramsden-Wood
David Ramsden-Wood was the Co-Founder and COO of OneEnergy Partners (2018 sale). The creator of the #hottakeoftheday, David began his career in energy as a Reservoir Engineer for Anadarko in 2001. Throughout his career, he has held roles across the analytical spectrum, including Completion and Production Engineering and Business Development. One of David’s key skillsets is his ability to analyze the flow of funds throughout the opportunity set and to interpret market trends which has led to the founding and co-founding of multiple oil and gas teams and entities.
David is passionate about the future and face of the oil and gas industry, and the evolution of the Energy Industry as a whole. Jimmy Crain
Mr. Crain is a Partner with EnCap Investments where he is responsible for identifying and partnering with best-in-class E&P management teams and working alongside EnCap’s portfolio companies to build growth-oriented E&P businesses. Prior to rejoining EnCap in 2012, Mr. Crain worked for Insight Equity, a turnaround and special situations private equity fund. While at Insight, Mr. Crain co-led turnarounds for companies in the energy, infrastructure and recreational vehicle industries. Prior to Insight, Mr. Crain was an Associate at EnCap from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Crain received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also received a BBA with Highest Honors from the Business Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Crain serves on the board of directors of several EnCap portfolio companies.
